Models & Trim Levels
With the Ford Super Duty, you can choose between the F-250, F-350, and F-450. Each of these models have separate trim levels that feature various cabin and box configurations, specs, and technology features.
The Super Duty F-250 is available in the XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch®, Platinum, and Limited trim levels. The F-350 and F-450 also have those same six trim levels available as well.
Engine Specs of the Super Duty
There are two engines found in the Ford Super Duty. Depending on the model and trim level you select, the truck will either be powered by the 6.2L 2-Valve FlexFuel V8 engine or the 6.7L Power Stroke® V8 Turbo Diesel Engine.
The 6.2L V8 produces 385 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. The 6.7L V8 engine ups the power of the Ford Super Duty by generating 450 horsepower and 935 lb-ft of torque.
Towing and Payload Capacity
All that power produced by the engines of the Super Duty means you will be able to haul and tow a large amount of weight. When the truck is equipped with the 6.2L V8 engine, you can tow up to 16,700 pounds. The 6.7L V8 engine gives the truck a conventional towing capacity of 21,000 pounds, which is best-in-class.
In some models, you even have the ability to add the 5th-wheel/gooseneck trailer tow prep package allowing the truck to gain a gooseneck tow rating of 35,000 pounds.
Thanks to a stiffer frame, the Super Duty also has a best-in-class payload rating. At its best, the truck will have a payload capacity of 7,640 pounds.
More convenience is also available in the Ford Super Duty to help you load all that gear in and out of the truck’s bed. The available Tailgate Step with Tailgate Assist™ has a step and handle that can help you get up and down from the bed of the truck. You can also have the available BoxLink™ system in the bed to safely and securely tie down all your cargo.
